LOOKING AFTER YOUR FLOWERS
Your flowers will arrive as a hand tie in an aqua pack if you order bouquets by post.  This is just basically cellophane with a small amount of water.  We would prefer to increase the water level but are unable to do so due to postage costs.

Upon receipt, you should remove the aqua pack (although I do know some people who leave the flowers in it and just top it up! – not recommended!) and place your flowers, preferably still in the hand tie into a clean vessel topped up with cold water.  Even better if you trim off the bottom stems by about 1cm and then place in water.

You can cut the hand tie if you wish for a loose effect but your flowers have been arranged so that they nestle together and they enjoy the closeness of their neighbours!

Flowers will only last well if placed in a cool room and out of direct sunlight.
Top up water after 2 days and if you have the time, re-trim the stems after 4 days and replace with fresh water.  Some people find that if they release the hand tie after about 6 days and replace with fresh water, it extends the life further.   Also some like to add aspirin to the water but I do nothing and find that is absolutely fine as long as you re-trim and change the water.

The most important thing is that you enjoy your flowers!
